About

Pulling from influences like KC and the Sunshine Band, Robin Raps brings a sonic celebration that floats between trumpet-heavy pop-rap and loose, sample-ridden head bobbers. With the mentorship of Travis “Kold Kut” Moore — boasting 10 Billboard charting LPs — and Turn One Management, Robin has etched out a relevant niche from his hometown of Indianapolis. He plants existential writing in the midst of memorable hooks and irreverent one-liners. His first album, a 7-song project titled "The Florist,” released in fall 2022, with a notable appearance by Detroit's up-and-coming Langston Bristol and followed by a stunning "Ruckus!" music video. Last year, Robin created a concert series called the “Garden Party” — a recurring, boutique showcase for Midwest talent. The Garden Party has quickly grown in Indianapolis and gained residency at the HIFI, the city’s premier 400-cap venue, featuring local and regional greats, such as Sirius Blvck, Double A, and The Namby Pamby. Robin was recently featured on season five of "Music in Transit" — an Emmy-award winning live session series — and played his first string of regional shows in the fall, including an opening slot for the infamous Afroman. He is currently writing his second studio album and releasing it gradually throughout 2024. His new single, "Near Eastside," has garnered positive attention. Robin is also the author of a short travel memoir titled “À la Plage avec Thomas.”
